Late. Mrs. Myrtle Singh
Founder/ Principal
Children’s Academy
Welcome to Children’s Academy. In 1961, the founder Principal, Mrs. Myrtle J Singh dreamt of providing quality education to the young kids aspiring to be the conscientious citizens of the nation.
With her grit and determination her dream blossomed into a glorious reality; the school that began with a humble beginning of three students became a towering roof sheltering many a seekers of knowledge.
After 59 years of unstinting, relentless efforts, dedication and perseverance Children’s Academy has traversed a long journey..Today it is a living testimony to one of the finest institutions in the city. On one hand, it has in its fold established stalwarts that continue to be the pillars of strength, ensuring firm foundation of the institution and on the other hand it constantly reaches out to this ever new technological era by providing customized individual and experiential learning to young minds.
In all these years what has remained unchanged is the zeal and spirit to achieve and to excel.
Late Dr. Bharat Singh
Former CEO, Children’s Academy
Children’s Academy
It is with solemn pride and enduring love that we honour the memory of Late Dr. Bharat Singh, the revered former CEO of Children’s Academy—a man whose presence was as resilient as it was powerful, and whose life’s work continues to bloom in the hearts of thousands.
He was not merely the head of this institution; he was its silent architect—a visionary who believed in building a school where discipline was gentle, learning was joyful, and every child walked with dignity. With the steady hand of a leader and the tender soul of a teacher, he nurtured not just an institution, but a culture—one rooted in respect, excellence, and deep humanity.
He believed that every child deserves to be taught, guided, and uplifted, regardless of background or ability. His generosity extended not only to students, but to teachers, staff, and parents alike. He welcomed all with the same grace and fairness. To meet him was to be seen, heard, and respected. Whoever came to him—whether for counsel, conflict, or comfort—never left hopeless. His sense of justice was unwavering, rooted in authority yet in empathy.
At the heart of his being was his faith. Christ was his role model, and he lived as a true Christian—steadfast, humble, and inclusive. He was a man for all people, regardless of age, status, or background. His leadership bore the fragrance of biblical wisdom, and his life was a sermon in motion.
To see his life was to witness the hand of God in action. He survived unimaginable accidents, overcame countless trials, and stood tall—not by his own strength, but by divine grace. God led him through valleys and victories alike, and it was God who gave him the vision to build this school—not for personal pride, but for a generation to flourish. The same God who sustained him, now leads us.
He was tireless, humble, and resolute. A man who worked with his hands, prayed with his heart, and dreamed with conviction. He was a trailblazer—one of those rare souls born only once in a great while. His core was his walk with God, and that divine companionship never left him. Nor will it leave us.
To walk beside him was to witness grace in motion. He led without raising his voice, inspired without demanding it, and built without ever asking for credit. He shaped futures with quiet strength, and left behind not just a legacy of educational excellence, but of compassion, character, and calm courage.
Though his chair now stands empty, his values echo through every lesson taught, every mind molded, and every act of kindness within these walls. We do not simply remember him—we continue him.
May we carry his vision forward, not as a duty, but as a tribute. We hope to walk in the same light he walked in, and lead with the same love he showed.
