Special Education Needs (SEN) Department – Inclusive Education
At Children’s Academy, we take pride in being an inclusive institution committed to nurturing every learner’s unique potential. Our Special Education Needs (SEN) department is designed to cater to the diverse needs of students by ensuring that each child receives equitable access to the curriculum, meaningful participation, and the support required to thrive.
Students with special needs are supported through a comprehensive process that begins with identification and assessment, followed by carefully designed intervention plans, accommodations, and assessment exemptions, all tailored to suit individual needs.
We recognize that each child is different, and therefore we offer personalized attention through Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that outline specific learning goals and strategies. These plans are developed collaboratively with the student, parents, teachers, and our expert SEN team.
Our multidisciplinary team includes:
- Special Educators
- Clinical and School Psychologists
- Therapists (Speech, Occupational, and Behavioral)
- Counsellors
Together, they work towards promoting not just academic development, but also social, emotional, and behavioral growth, ensuring the all-round development of every child under our care.
We also focus on behaviour modification strategies, socio-emotional learning, and regular progress monitoring to foster confidence, independence, and self-worth in our students.
At Children’s Academy we are deeply committed to bringing out the best in every child. The SEN team works with the belief and motto:
“The students who challenge their teachers the most, need their teachers the most.”
