The department strives to inspire and empower students to become critical thinkers, empathetic communicators and engaged Global citizens by helping them explore the richness of human culture, history and ideas through interdisciplinary learning and creative expression.
The curriculum has been meticulously designed to make it relevant for students in order to make them competent individuals in the world of cut throat competition. The key subjects falling under the umbrella are Social Studies ( classes III – V ), History, Civics and Geography ( classes VI – X ) and Political Science and History (classes XI – XII )
Students are made to experience hands on learning through project work approach, wherein they are made to undertake Library reference tasks and field trips related to the topics under study. A regular use of audio-visual aids is made in classrooms to facilitate the learning process in an engaging manner.
The department is blessed to possess a team of qualified, dedicated and task-oriented faculty members who leave no stone unturned to make sure that their students are groomed in way wherein they excel in their academic pursuits and hold an edge over others holistically.
The department has undertaken trainings and workshops on Project making skills, student centered teaching approaches, special needs of students and integration of technology in the process of imparting knowledge.
Students are provided with competitive platforms wherein they participate in intra-school and inter-school competitions, Olympiads, and exhibitions on a regular basis, showcasing their talents and making a mark for themselves.
